The Krishna CARES program delivers around 100+ lunches weekly to those in need!
Since 1971, Krishna Lunch has provided healthy vegan/vegetarian meals to the Gainesville/UF community. To do our part in the community we at Krishna Lunch regularly deliver meals to those in need, be they homeless, victims of domestic abuse, single mothers struggling, those unable to cook for themselves, families at Ronald McDonald House who have kids at UF Shands Hospital – and many more people who really appreciate not just a nice meal but also knowing someone cares about them. Everywhere we go the meals are warmly welcomed. At the start of the pandemic, we asked ourselves how we can continue to support our local community and keep everyone’s morale high. We started Krishna Lunch for Healthcare Heroes, distributing meals to our frontline workers at the local hospitals and clinics. From there, Krishna CARES officially evolved, getting Krishna Lunch to those in need. Please help us and share Krishna’s love to everyone through Krishna CARES – our community meal distribution efforts.
